A calm Sunday Walk

We went for a nice calm walk at "Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary", it was our first time there!

It was a really nice walk amongst the mangroves and of course the birds could be heard!

Always have a Dream!

I very often get lost! 

I a not talking of where I am, physically, no I have actually got a really good sense of orientation!

Years of plotting maps, looking at them and being away of the poles will do that!

I'm talking about mentally, emotionally and all that space in between!

I think its probably to the roots I never have had! 

Every now and then I forget what I'm doing all this for, where am I trying to go with it all and why?????

I think I really must really frustrate Stephen when that happens as I ask him what are our plans, and he says "why are you asking me?, you know what they are!!"...But I tell him that I'm lost and I need him to show me the way once again!

So I have to get my Diary out and write down my dreams to refresh it all, as that is one of the things that drive me further!

Packed Lunch!!!

Tullula has started another day care. On Fridays while we wait for the Wednesday to free up as I work on Wednesdays now!
I'm not too happy with not having her with me on my free day but I guess its what has to be done, so I'm trying to just take some extra time for me, and I guess I really need it right now as I don't seem to get anything done!

This new day care is very different that the other one, and we have to pack lunch!!!
I have NEVER packed lunch for my daughter before, ok I have when we have gone on outings and pic-nics, but never for her to go to day care!
I tell you its a very different feeling!
Somehow I felt like I was loosing her forever, that that was it she was all grown up! Im eager to go pick her up now!!!

This is Part Two of our camping trip to Charlie Morland.

We had such a wonderful time, and we do love camping that we have decided to do a trip every 3 months!

I am very exited to be planning the next escapade! 

In the meantime, enjoy these wonderful memories that I hope Tullula will love watching one day!

When Paradise becomes Hell

I have been thinking about this all week. In disgust, in horror, in surprise and in a state of chock I guess too!

The Marquises to me have always been a very special place for me!
The first time i went there was when I was 15...
 I can to this day remember arriving there with my family, after many days spend at sea, drifting, fishing, taking our time to cross the Pacific from the Galapagos Islands! The wind had died down as we were about 100mile off the coast, so many days were spend dreaming of that place that was all still a mystery!
I Remember that early morning when finally someone spotted land.
The excitement, it was dawn and it was beautiful! As we sailed along the coast, toward the bay of Taiohae on the Island of Nuku Hiva, with the sun rising lifting the slight night dew and with at came the smell of rich soil and the most exquisite flowers!

We live there for a year!
I had a horse, we explored the islands, we did odd jobs, I tried to go to school and learnt to dance the Tamouré! Those Islands, really did in fact make a little part of who I am!

So, I was delighted at the thought of been able to go back there in 2010, and it was still just as beautiful...Ok, time have changed and there evolution can be practical but charm unfortunately gets lots with all of that!!! So there are some things that I was disappointed with!
But that life... Yet, I was delighted at the fact that my very first child was born there, in the tiny little hospital.
I love the fact that during labour I went for a swim in the Ocean, and walked around the gardens...Hens everywhere!!!
And I will for ever remember after Tullula was born, and after we had been in Observation for the two hours and finally we were allowed to our room to sleep for the night, as those hospital doors opened, again that smell of the Tiare flower, flowing into my nostril! As a welcome to a little girl!!!

Those islands are such a beautiful place on earth! Everyone is so very friendly, its clean, the music goes straight to your soul, the dancing, the great food, the easy peaceful uncomplicated life!!!
I have often thought of them as Paradise... But its amazing how that paradise can actually he Hell for some!
So, in the email I got was the news of this German sailor that was taken on a hunting trip, and was never to return! His wife almost got raped by the guy who took her husband hunting. A fire was found, with remains!!! Now those islands did practise cannibalism, but has been done again buy this one hunter??

I feel such sadness for that lady! She came to paradise and will forever remember it as Hell! How horrible is that!! I cant even imagine what she must be going though, but it sure that the Marquises will not be a place she will have fond memories of like I do!!!

I know this pots is not very pleasant, but I had to share as its part of my world!

Green Toys!

 

I finally have spent my first afternoon at the beach!

Summer is here! And its one of the things I love MOST about summer, spending time at the beach!

feeling the sun on my (sun screened) skin, reading a book, swimming just lazing about, it feels so good!

And Now with a child, there will be even loads more fun...

Building sand castles, digging holes, collecting sea shells (I already did that by myself)!

But all that has to be done with a good set of sand toys!

When ever I can I like to recycle or use eco things!

We got this really cool sand toy set, made of Recycled Milk Bottles!

The brand is Green Toys and its made in the USA. The sand toy set is really cute, and I love how the water bucket has a string as a handle...Its all really made of thick sturdy plastic and I'm sure is will be with us for many years to come, on many afternoons spent at the beach!

The Sounds of Our childhood

 This Morning after I dropped off Tullula at day care, I went for a run!

I have been feeling that my body needs to move, needs to be used!

After my run, I did some yoga stretches and as I did the final relaxation pose I heard an out-board engine!

(I was by a very calm beach, where many boats play around on the water, fishing)...

And I was delighted...

Yes delighted by the sound of an engine!

Strange??

yes, but it took me back to my childhood, to my upbringing!

So as I layed there, I focused on that sound and got lost in the memories that were all rushing back to me!

I used to keep a whole lot of perfume bottles that had that same effect on me, took me back to certain places, people and time.

But the sound of the engine was all my childhood in one package! 

hearing the engine was someone coming home, a visit, going ashore, going for a ride, exploring! It was soo much fun!

It was great!

I am still so so happy we went went camping!

I can still feel the benefits of it.

And am really looking forward to escaping again...

Ten on Ten!

October is here and allready the 10th!!!

I cant believe it, time really fly's by way too fast...

So this month is my second Ten on Ten, and I had to go to TAFE today, but my day ended up not being very eventful as I had to go and pick up Tullula from day care as she had a fever! So my Photo's are not very exiting, but that's how my day went!!

Ok, I have allowed the TV to come on. and we just sit on the couch and lounge!

We fall asleep. I too was realy tierd! I had to give her some "Doliprane" and her fever was not getting better!
It felt soo good to have her sleep (and sleep myself) along side me!

Winter, where are you??

Well, it seems that winter nad been and is already gone!

Im still amazed at how fast it went, how little cold it got.

Now its time to put those winter cloths away, most that I did not get to wear, as really it was not cold enough..Sometimes I think I really should of left them in France with my mom, that way I would have cloths there if I was to go in winter for a visit!!!

For now, they will go back in the suitcases in the garage, and the summer ones will be out!!!

Very Exiting... I Love summer!
